Dear Tacoma Art Community, Energize Tacoma <http://https//:www.energizetacoma.org> is excited to announce the creation of a registry for experienced mural artists as part of our Original Art Murals (OAM) initiative. We seek talented artists with a proven track record in creating large-scale outdoor wall murals for future public art projects. About the OAM Program: The OAM program aims to transform Tacoma neighborhoods with murals that reflect the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. The registry will connect us with artists for various mural projects in key locations undergoing transformation. Current Projects: 1. Developer Partnership: We are in discussions for a mural on an office building in downtown Tacoma. Future developments nearby may offer additional mural opportunities. 2. National Chain Partnership: A mural for a national chain's parking lot entrance to create a welcoming atmosphere. Eligibility and Requirements: - Proven experience with large-scale outdoor wall murals. - Portfolio: Submit photos of previous outdoor mural work. - Artists do not need to be Tacoma-based, but preference is given to local artists. - Technical experience with scaffolding/lifts is a plus.
