Hello all,

A reminder that Citizens for a Healthy Bay will be hosting a workshop to
go over the basics of submitting public comments, to review successful
strategies, and to provide talking points and guidance for current
environmental issues. This workshop will focus on cleanup of the Occidental
Chemical superfund site, the most polluted site in Commencement Bay, as
well as the environmental review of the proposed natural gas to methanol
plant. To learn more, please view our factsheet on the Occidental site
here
http://www.healthybay.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=213:public-meeting-toxic-pollution-at-occidental-chemical&catid=42:news-and-events&Itemid=74
and the proposed methanol plant here http://bit.ly/1MYgJsb.

~Important Update~

Due to the amount of interest we have already received, we have decided to change
the location
of this workshop to a larger venue. The workshop will be
held Saturday, January 23rd, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at UW Tacoma, room CP
105
. This room is located on the first floor of the Cherry Parkes
building
. A map to the location is attached below.

If you would like to attend, please *PRE REGISTER *with Karen Gogins at
kgogins@healthybay.org so that we know how many people to expect.

As always, this workshop is completely free. If you already have a draft
of comments you wish to submit for either issue, please feel free to bring
it along for editing.

More information about this event is available at http://bit.ly/1PV9I02.

We hope to see you all there!
