Stop by to see our newly expanded studio and gallery space Learn to make pottery on the potter's wheel. No previous clay experience is necessary. Through demonstrations and individual instruction, we cover basic throwing, trimming, and glazing techniques, along with a few hand building projects. Our classes are a mix of beginners to more experienced students (adults only), which encourages a cooperative learning environment. We are now accepting registration for our next 6-week session. Classes begin the week of August 5, 2013 Evening classes are offered on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Morning classes are offered on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm Classes fill up, so reserve your spot! The 6-week registration fee is $168 for 2-1/2 hours of instruction per week, additional hours of open studio/practice time, 25 lbs. of clay, use of all studio equipment, glazes and firing. A basic pottery tool kit is required and available for purchase. If you are a beginner or experienced, want to work on the wheel or hand build, instruction is provided for your level and students are grouped to best help everyone. For those who want to get their hands muddy but are not quite ready to commit to a 6-week class, we offer one day Try It classes. Enjoy 2 hours of basic instruction on the pottery wheel for $60/person and we will help you create a bowl. Pick out a glaze color and your bowl will be trimmed and glazed for you to pick up later.
