My partner and I are opening a self-publishing store in Tacoma sometime in late summer called The Nearsighted Narwhal. The purpose of the store is to bring to consumers zines, books, music, and everything else handmade and self-published. We will be offering workshops on self-publishing and art, have regular events take place there like open mic and spoken word, and also have a coffee and itty bitty eatery there as well. We are super excited to get the ball rolling on this! This is where you come in. We need to build up our inventories before our doors open in just a few months. If you would like to consign any zines, books, comics, music, patches, buttons, art, or anything else handmade to our store, now is the time. We would like to open with a vast array of materials from different people and it would be awesome if you participated! If you have any zines, books, or anything else self-made that you'd like us to carry it'd be a welcome addition to our little store.
