Pierce County Council unanimously approved providing $4 million in financial support for small businesses in Pierce County through a grant program that will award up to $10,000 for eligible businesses.

See the below information to learn more about whether your small business is eligible.

Please note, the application deadline is April 23 at 5 p.m.

Eligible business or non-profit establishment types:

  • Caterers, restaurants, taprooms, and similar eating and drinking establishments that do not have a drive-through;
  • In-store retail;
  • Arts and culture establishments such as theaters, museums, and entertainment venues;
  • Fitness facilities, gyms, and bowling centers;
  • Farmers markets.
    To be eligible, a business or non-profit must have 20 or fewer full-time equivalent employees (including business owner) except eating and drinking establishments, which do not have a full-time equivalent employee limit.

The program is subject to available funds and eligibility requirements; businesses may receive a need-based grant of up to $10,000.
