Hello! Lately there has been quite a few requests for a local figure drawing open studio, and I am happy to announce there are 2 figure drawing sessions, featuring live models, per week that are offered through Tacoma Academy of Fine Art, located in our studio in the Dome District of Tacoma. These sessions are un-instructed. Here's the scoop: WEDNESDAY evenings focus on short poses (5,10, 20 minutes), giving the artist an opportunity to make quick, energetic sketches. Cost for short pose is $15 per individual session. Sessions are 3 hours long, lasting 6:00-9:00pm. Please email me (Tim) and let me know if I can reserve you an easel. SATURDAY mornings focus on long pose (1 pose lasting the entire 3 hour session). Cost for long pose is $15 for a session. Time is 9:30-12:30 Poses rotate monthly. We will be starting a new long pose this coming Wednesday, January 11th. Our studio is located at 301 'A' Puyallup Avenue, Tacoma, close to the Tacoma Dome. Bring: Your own art materials and paper.
