On September 19, Jesi Vega and Derek Nunn of *One Table Show* welcome acclaimed Tacoma theater artist *Michelle Matlock *(director of The Tacoma Light Trail and Tacoma Revels) for* Building The Table *- a free performance workshop! *One Table Show **brings theater by the people to the people* by staging mini-plays -- all set at a single table -- in Tacoma bars and restaurants (venues have included LaCar Bar on 6th, Cider and Cedar on Market, and Jazzy's Cafe in Central Tacoma). All our shows are collaboratively created by an always-changing team, diverse in race, age, gender, orientation, and experience. *Building the Table* is our FREE workshop in which One Table team members guide participants through the basics of One Table scene creation and help them develop their own One Table-style scenes. Our most recent shows have featured contributors we met at our February workshop, so this is also a great way to get to know us and join our team as a creator.
