Hello,
We are writing to invite you to attend a special dedication event celebrating "Northwest Basket Weaving Designs" and the Puyallup Tribal artists who created the beautiful concrete stamp artwork. Their art lines the paths that welcome visitors to this newly created park. Master weavers Denise Reed and Sharron Nelson will be on hand to talk about their artwork, along with artist Chris Duenas who helped translate the basket weave designs into the form of concrete stamps.
All are welcome to attend and enjoy light refreshments while experiencing the park and celebrating its art and history. Tribal elders and cultural performers from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians will bless and celebrate the artwork and the transformed site during the dedication program beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Event attendees are encouraged to carpool, as this park does not have its own lot. Limited on-street parking is available and free after 6 p.m. Just so you know, parking fees are collected at both privately operated lots adjacent to the park.
