and adds a little sparkle to Tacoma's 6th Avenue Business District.
On July 12th, 2013 Urban Alchemy reopened it's doors on 6th Avenue with a
fresh perspective and a fresh pack of artists. Offering a wide variety of
fine art, handmade gifts and home décor, there is a little something for
everyone and every price range.
Under new management, Urban Alchemy has been able to spread it's wings and
explore it's core definition: to turn something of little value into
something of great value.
Along with a new venue (complete with moving walls!), Urban Alchemy will be
hosting new exhibits and events each month, starting with August's Featured
Artist of the month and Kid's Décor Event. (more on each event below)
As Albert Einstein once said, "Creativity is intelligence having fun."
Urban Alchemy strives to be an environment where people of all backgrounds
can have a relationship with art. Come to our gallery, who knows - you
might find a piece of art that may just be your "soul mate."
Join us this Thursday, August 15th, from 6 to 9 pm for Art Mingle and view
the works of August's Featured Artist - Therese Tucker. Make it an extra
fun evening by taking the Art Bus to visit the gallery along with other
cool venues!
Save the Date: Saturday, August 24th from 12 - 5 pm! Join us for our
first ever *Kid's Art & Décor Event! *Enjoy stunning original works by
local artists that are perfect for kids or the 'kid at heart.' Find that
piece of art or furniture you've been looking for to add pop to your
child's room or nursery. Enjoy kid friendly activities and meet some of
our amazing local artists!
