Since January 2011, Throwing Mud Gallery’s mission has been to encourage creativity and an understanding of quality handcrafted art through its pottery classes and contemporary crafts gallery. This summer we have doubled our pottery studio space, as well as expanded the gallery. Along with our larger space, we are adding another level of creativity – a contemporary ceramics, a.k.a. “paint your own pottery”, studio, which opens on Tuesday, September 3rd. The relaxed process of painting on pottery in the stress-free environment makes for a fun activity. Customers simply select a piece of pottery, create a design and paint. Throwing Mud Gallery provides help for the artistically challenged, including idea books, stamps, stencils and a little encouragement. Leave your pottery with us and we will apply a clear glaze and fire it. it will be ready for you to pick up in a week. Children of all ages are welcome to join their parents for a fun activity together. Painting Pottery is a great activity for a corporate outing.
