- About William H Bryant III*
“The more I produce, the less I am certain. On the road along which the
artist walks, night falls ever more densely. Finally, he dies blind.”
(Albert Camus)
William studied arts and literature at Antioch University Seattle where he
discovered French author Albert Camus. Camus’s philosophy of the absurd,
views on art and society have been William’s biggest artistic influence.
This can be seen in William’s style of painting, rebellious, messy and how
he attempts to depict the world’s ugliness and beauty absurdly in his
painting simultaneously.
William’s first love artistically is poetry. At times words cannot
describe. Where words fail canvas, brushes, acrylics and oils continue his
poetic vision of life, desire, pleasure and melancholy. In this exhibit you
will see a collection of nudes painted in a style that resembles every
style and yet no other style resembles.
