Challenging History -
"Crossing Boundaries: Trans History, Then and Now"
Presented in Partnership with KNKX Public Radio
FREE Virtual program
October 14, 7:00-8:00 PM
Spend an hour with KNKX host Ed Ronco and producer Vivian McCall in conversation with curators Peter Boag and Gwen Whiting, talking about the original exhibition Crossing Boundaries: Portraits of a Transgender West. They'll live-stream from the History Museum's gallery in conversation about the experiences of transgender individuals who lived in the Pacific Northwest during the late 1800s and early 1900s, and how westward migration provided opportunities for self-expression and fulfillment.
Tune into this free program via Zoom and learn more about the history of gender, identity, and changing cultural perceptions. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions during Q & A, too.
