The theme of artist Kate Ampersand's work for the City of Auburn exhibition is reflections; her work seeks to capture "patterns and textures, whether existing in nature or man-made." Unlike many contemporary digital photographers, Ampersand does as little post-processing of her photos as possible, stating that she prefers the "challenge of capturing real life moments as they actually exist, in-camera, rather than sitting at the computer producing images that are digital manipulations."
