*The Art of Acting - Individualized, Concentrated Instruction
Open enrollment: pay-what-you-can
*
The perfect opportunity for both the very new, youngest actors to learn the
basics, as well as the more experienced actors to perfect their craft.
Through scene study and/or monologue work, actors will spend their entire
rehearsal time working directly with Maggie Knott. Pairs and individuals
will meet on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays to concentrate on small scenes. All
instruction will be geared directly to each young actor's specific needs.
For example:
Two 5-6 yr olds might perfect a small scene from The Secret Garden. Two
teens might work on a Neil Simon scene or some classic Shakespeare. A very
serious young actor might perfect both a classical and contemporary
monologue for auditions.
*Rehearsals: *
May 28 - June 20, will be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with each
actor meeting for at least 45 minutes, twice weekly. Actors will be
scheduled to best meet the needs of their individualized instruction.
*Schedule: *
Thursday, May 23rd: Actors and their parents will meet with director,
Maggie Knott, to create an individualized plan. 30 minute meetings will be
arranged between 3pm and 7pm.
Performances:
Fri, June 21 at 7pm
Sat, June 22 at 7pm
Sun, June 23 at 3pm
Performances are open to the public and admission is PAY WHAT YOU CAN.
Please help us to spread the word!
