Local artists will be leading art making projects including ceramic, metal, painting, collage, printmaking and recycled sculpture on this Third Thursday event. Students, families and the public are invited to attend and work alongside professional artists to experience all types of media. ART Night is the culmination of the Artist in Residence Teach at Sherman (ARTS) program and an ongoing arts initiative coordinated by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) working to provide high-quality art experiences. The artist in Residence Natalie Oswald has been working closely with the students throughout the year and the final collaborative mural project will be worked on at the event along with the variety of student artwork created throughout the residency. COST: Attendance to the event is free of charge, but will be accepting a suggested donation of $10 per family to participate in the hands-on-art making activities to cover the cost of the supplies.
