In this free day-long voice-over workshop, we will take a
step-by-step approach working as a voice-over artist - from working
with a microphone to the business side of being a successful voice
over artist. You will learn to read and interpret various types of
text, using your individual voice. You will learn the basics of
staying focused and able to perform under the pressure of a recording
session, including diction and relaxation exercises, and ways of
quickly and effectively interpreting copy, as well as taking
direction. You will have an opportunity to explore radio and
television ad copy, technical narration, and character work such as
video games. You will cover what to expect in a recording session,
from auditions to bookings. You will have the opportunity to rehearse
and record your own work.
Award Winning Voice Over Actor, Nicole Fazio's career break came
recording Hyundai Motor Company's National Television Campaigns;
announcing the Accent, Elantra, Sonata & Tiberon vehicles launched
her as the future of Voice Overs becoming one of the first and only
women to brand a car. Ms. Fazio was hand selected as announcer of #1
Jordan Whitney Charts & Telly Winner, Bare Escentuals, "makeup so
pure you can sleep in it," creating an industry prototype as the
Voice of Beauty. National announcer of XO Communications Campaign,
current announcer of National WEN by Chaz Dean Campaigns (Official
Hair Care of Miss America 2012 on ABC) & Natural Advantage Campaign
both for industry leader, Guthy-Renker garnering numerous Clio &
Telly Awards for advertising in television commercials.
