Subject: Call to Tukwila and South King County Artists
Hi All,
I'm sending you all Call to Artists regarding the Tukwila Village Development. I'm trying to create a roster of regional artists for public art opportunities. Could you please help distribute this? And thanks, Charlie, for assisting with getting the word out about this. The call is enclosed below and attached.
Thanks so much and please let me know if you have any questions, Jerri
Call to Artists
SEEDArts is looking for artists from Tukwila and South King County to submit qualifications to be part of a roster of public artists for Tukwila Village, a proposed multi-use neighborhood center on International Boulevard in the City of Tukwila. Tukwila Village includes unique indoor and outdoor gathering places, surrounded by housing options for seniors and non-seniors, a library branch, retail shopping and a healthcare facility. A number of integrated permanent and temporary artworks are planned.
SEEDArts is compiling a project roster of both experienced public artists who have previous expertise with design and installation of public art projects, and emerging artists with some public arts experience. Commissions vary and are suited for all types of experience levels, including: gateway/landmarking projects, discrete works, integrated art, artist made building parts, temporary art, environmental opportunities, community art projects, performance art and other ideas.
To apply for the Tukwila Village Artist Roster, please send a letter of interest that references your interest/relationship to Tukwila and your approach to art making.
