Artist statement: My artwork is a celebration of the natural world and a reflection of my connection to the Pacific Northwest. My work expresses my visual and visceral experiences; inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and rediscover the wonder of nature and reminding us of our place within its intricate tapestry. My creative process always begins outdoors taking dozens of photos to use as reference for patterns, light and color. I also collect and embed organic material into the wax or use it for creating prints.
