FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 7th, 2026
___________

The City of Auburn and the Auburn Arts Commission are pleased to present the work of Eileen Bochsler at the Cheryl Sallee Gallery, on view May 6th - July 1st, 2026.

Artist statement:

My artwork is a celebration of the natural world and a reflection of my connection to the Pacific Northwest. My work expresses my visual and visceral experiences; inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and rediscover the wonder of nature and reminding us of our place within its intricate tapestry. My creative process always begins outdoors taking dozens of photos to use as reference for patterns, light and color. I also collect and embed organic material into the wax or use it for creating prints. Layering all these components illustrates the complex layers or our relationship with nature. - Eileen Bochsler
