FREE Seed Bombing and Air-Dry Clay Workshops this summer!

Drop by a FREE outdoor workshop led by local artist Priscilla Dobler Dzulhttps://priscilladoblerart.com/ for a fun summer activity! This is a drop-in activity, and all ages are welcome. Workshops will be held:

  • Friday July 16, 12-3pm, Oakland Madrona Park

  • Saturday July 17, 12-3pm, South Park

  • Friday, July 30, 12-3pm, STAR Center Park

  • Saturday, August 7, 1-4pm, Manitou Park

These workshops are part of "Generational Root Healing, One Seed a Step II". This multi-layered public art project works with edible and indigenous plants in public spaces to acknowledge land rights, and the displacement of indigenous people and native plants through the introduction of invasive species and colonization. It also addresses food sovereignty, water accessibility, and the need for educational free art classes for all ages.

This project is supported by Metro Parks Tacoma through the Public Art: Reaching Community training program, the City of Tacoma Arts through the Tacoma Artist Initiative Program, and the Puffin Foundation.

Thanks,
Rebecca
