Meet the artist, Jennifer Steinkamp, peruse the galleries, and groove to
the music of DJ Slim Cutta as we celebrate the opening of Shimmering
Tree: A Projection by Jennifer Steinkamp. Hors d'oeuvres and no-host bar
provided by Relish Catering.

Nationally-recognized digital artist Jennifer Steinkamp builds
mesmerizing animations that could not exist in the real world. Her
vividly seductive artwork, Mike Kelley, charts the passage of time by
following the path of a single tree as it cycles through a year of
change in 11 minutes. Using Steinkamp's graceful projection as a
touchstone, the work's beauty and symbolism remind us of the potential
of art to affect lives and inspire great ideas. The exhibition will be
on view November 9, 2013 through January 26, 2014.
