Learn about the art, culture, education, and businesses of Samoa, Korea,
The Philippines, and Hawaii through Cultural Treasure Trunks provided by
the APCC http://www.asiapacificculturalcenter.org/ . The APCC is a
Tacoma organization that serves as an interactive cultural crossroads
between local and international communities.
At 6 pm join us in the Murray Family Event Space for several
performances brought to us by Asian Pacific Cultural Center.
Also at the museum from 5 to 8 pm, practice creating self portraits in
honor of the exhibition Sitting for History: Exploring Self-Identity
Through Portraiture http://www.tacomaartmuseum.org/Page.aspx?nid=485 .
Bring photos from home to use as inspiration or borrow a mirror from us.
We'll help install your portrait on our community art wall or you can
take your masterpiece home.
