UW Tacoma Jazz Improv Workshop

Join L.A. jazz improvisation specialist, Eric Patterson in a four-day jazz
workshop designed for middle and high school musicians who have at least 2-3
years playing experience and want to learn or improve their jazz improv
skills for solo work. Class ends with an improv jazz jam session in a local
downtown venue where you can show off your new skills to your friends and
family.

Bring your instrument and music stand along with money for parking or take
the bus. Electric guitar and bass players, bring a small amplifier. Drummers
bring your sticks and share our drum set. Keyboardist bring your own or
share

Eric Patterson first fell in love with jazz while in school in Seattle.
After graduating with a degree in music from the University Of Southern
California, he decided to stay in Los Angeles.  As a professional musician,
he plays jazz, pop, funk, and Christian music. Eric's new album, "Mutually
Assured Destruction" is now available on iTunes and at his website:

playing professionally, Eric devotes much of his time to the art of teaching
jazz and improvisation at local schools in Los Angeles using his
