This fall our choir would like to try a

Yup, the South Sound Classical Choir –
What, you haven't heard of us? - is doing the choruses from the
“Messiah”, all twenty, as our Christmas concert. We specialize in
assembling singers who sing with passion rather than a great deal of
training. We don't have auditions. We have more than a few singers in
our fifty or so who don't read music. On the other hand, we also have
serious musicians in our midst and put out a quality a capella sound
by dint of rehearsal, concentration, and listening to each other.
So, if you're an ex-choral singer from
college or church, or if you're someone who's always wanted to know
what it means for the whole to be greater than the sum of the parts,
maybe you ought to consider joining us for our Messiah enterprise. We
have CD s and MP3s to teach you your choral part, and we rehearse
once a week, Monday evenings 7-9 at Aylen Junior High School in
Puyallup. Four concerts will happen in early December, when you'll
know a whole lot more music -and a few more people - than now.
Join us. You'll have fun.
