Job Announcement: Event Aide & Concessionaire
Position:
The Broadway Center for the Performing Arts seeks qualified applicants for the position of part-time Event Aide and Concessionaire. This person will assist the Concessions Lead in developing and implementing food and beverage services for the Broadway Center, as well as assisting the Event Lead in the coordination of all events set-ups and tear-downs while delivering the highest level of customer service at all times.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will:

  •     Help supervise, set up and tear down for all BCPA events on either the BCPA campus or off-site. Update or change marquee when needed. Clean and perform some basic janitorial services before, during, or after events.
    
  •     Work events as a member of the concessions staff. Assist in taking product inventory (pre and post-show) and be accountable for concession area of responsibility including stocking area when necessary. Handle money and account for till. Push pre-sales for shows with intermissions. Clean and maintain concession stands.
    
  •     Help to ensure all events are properly set and ready for all BCPA events. Assist with catering and hospitality for all BCPA events. Assist in the stocking of event supplies, food and beverages on pre-determined delivery days made by vendors.
    
  •     Perform other duties as assigned.
    

Qualifications:

  •     Be at least 21 years of age
    
  •     Have a WA State food handler's card, or will independently obtain one.
    
  •     Have a WA State Class 12 alcohol server permit.
    
  •     Have at least one year of commercial food and beverage handling experience.
    
  •     Be able to lift 20-30 lbs.
    
  •     Be able to work weekends and evenings and on an on-call basis.
    
  •     Be organized and enjoy working with the public.
    
  •     Have cash handling capability.
    
  •     Have a professional attitude, be a team player, and work well with others.
    
  •     Take pride in their work
    
  •     Have reliable transportation.
