“Gust,” 2024, c prints made from found photographs, resin, aluminum, spotlights and light stands.
Promise you'll make me up features photographic objects by Seattle artist Natalie Krick. Krick manipulates appropriated photographs of Marilyn Monroe, transforming her iconic image into fragments and mirrors. Using techniques like bending, scratching, layering, puncturing and masking photographs with reflective resin, Krick creates visually striking objects that evoke Monroe's iconic image while simultaneously rendering her unrecognizable.  The Visual Arts program at Green River College was proud to feature Natalie Krick as our Artist in Residence this past spring.  We are pleased to present a solo exhibition of her work in the gallery post-residency this summer.
