Lanterns, Beach, Festival!
Tacoma Ocean Fest returns to the Foss Waterway Seaport June 2-4, 2023 and beyond! Incredible art, music, dance, film, poetry, science and water fun bring our community together to celebrate the ocean, learn about its threats and get inspired to protect it. Free, family-friendly ocean fun!Lantern Paddle for Species: 7-10pm June 2
Beach Clean-Up: 10am-12pm June 3

Lantern Paddle for Species

A magical evening to kick off Ocean Fest weekend! From 7-11pm Friday June 2 we'll have music, circus, lantern-making and festival sneak-peeks inside the Foss Waterway Seaport, then at dusk you can launch your paddle or bring your lantern to the dock and watch.   |

Beach Clean-Up
Join Ocean Fest and South South Surfrider to clean up a beach! As part of Ocean Fest month, we’ll be picking up trash at Les Davis Pier beach to protect ocean animals. Make a trash whale mural, vibe to Hawaiian musicians...and have a blast! Free, all ages. 10am-12pm Sat June 3.  |

Lead festival artist River Meschi
Announcing…our lead artist for Ocean Fest 2023 – River Meschi! A mixed-media Tacoma painter and installation artist with Mexican, Indian and Slavic influences, River brings mesmerizing digital prints, a sculpture and floor sand painting to tell stories connecting all waters. See and hear her June 4 at the festival.  |
