For the last ten years or so, I have been writing about Japanese American history, places, events, and of course people in the Seattle/Tacoma metro area. Over those ten years I’ve gotten to know so many great organizations who are doing wonderful work to keep that history alive. As I came to know Tacoma Japanese American History, I wanted to place it in conversation and context with these organizations. I sent out invitations. And so, the idea for this year’s seventh Tacoma Japanese Day of Remembrance was born. Here is the full schedule for this free event.
