*Sunday, April 27^th ***
Seattle Urban Sketchers have decided to sketch in Tacoma for their
regular Sunday sketch-outing!
Of course, we Tacoma sketchers are invited to join them: at 10 am, we'll
meet at Tully's on Broadway and 9^th in downtown Tacoma. We'll sketch in
the area of the Antique District from 10-12:30. At 12:30, then meet back
at Tully's to share sketches and be part of the large gang of sketchers
in a group photo.
Saturday May 3^rd :Happy First Birthday, Urban Sketchers-Tacoma!!!
Tacoma Sketchers have two locations planned for the day:
-
Some of us will be supporting the Northwest Regional Sketch-out at
the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) in Seattle.__Sketchers
from various groups will be coming to Seattle from all over the
northwest to attend this event, in order to see the exhibit of the
work of Gabi Campanario (the founder of the world-wide urban
sketching movement!) at the museum and to sketch together. The
display of Gabi's work is marvelous and inspiring. It celebrates a
decade+ of his work as the 'Seattle Sketcher' for the Seattle Times
(Gabi's not only an urban sketcher, he's also an award winning
journalist.) This sketch-out is from 10-12:30 Meet inside the front
doors. There is a fee for entry to the museum. MOHAI is located at:
860 Terry Avenue N Seattle, WA 98109

at the Starbucks on 11^th . and Pacific at 10 am.(1101 Pacific Ave

the Thea Foss Waterway. The bridge is just one block from Starbucks,
just after 11^th . and A Street. If it's rainy, there arecovered
view areas down the steps just after crossing A Street and 11^th .
Along A Street, there are also a number of good urban views, some
with rain cover.At 12:30, we'll re-gather atStarbucks to share
sketches and take a group photo. If you wish to park at the Freight
House Square Parking Garage (free parking) you may take the Tacoma

every 12 minutes on Saturdays. Otherwise, there is on-street parking
at the sketch-out location. (parking fee)
