WHAT WE PROVIDE: Tables, chairs, ambience, AND L.Lisa Lawrence fire dancing, Adam Martin with his Luminares, hints of what's to come on FIRST NIGHT, AND musical guests Benjamin Doerr and Johnny Gundersen of St. Paul de Vence. TICKETS: $10 - Visit firstnighttacoma.org to purchase tickets online. It's known as a smart mob, and it's coming to Tacoma. People suddenly appear in a major urban public space. Tables are set up with gourmet food, china, and cutlery they've brought themselves. They eat, with good manners, of course. Then poof! They're gone. The event, Le Diner en Blanc comes with rules: Everyone brings a white tablecloth and wears as much white as they dare, maybe even elegant white. They bring a picnic. The point? It's a feast for all the senses, and, it's fun! On September 26th, from 6-8 p.m. Tacomans are invited to the W.W. Seymour Conservatory grounds at Wright Park to participate in a groundbreaking fundraising event. Let's close summer, usher in fall and gear up for First Night festivities by supporting this event.
