The highly anticipated Tacoma Wayzgoose printmaking festival returns in
2024, promising a unique blend of art, community, and creativity. Hosted at
the Tacoma Public Library, this year's event is set to take place at the
Moore Branch (215 S. 56th St.) on May 3rd from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and May
4th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Tacoma Wayzgoose, known for its celebration of letterpress, printmaking,
and book arts, will showcase an array of activities for all ages. One of
the highlights of the event is the live steamroller printing, a spectacle
where 11 featured artists will transform 2x3-foot sheets of linoleum into
stunning prints using a giant steamroller.

This year, we are thrilled to embrace the Sweet & Salty theme, reflecting
the rich history and diverse flavors of Tacoma. We invite the community to
indulge their senses and explore the artistic treasures showcased at Tacoma
Wayzgoose.

In addition to steamroller printing, attendees can look forward to meeting
local printers, exploring their works, swapping equipment with other print
artists, and even printing their own keepsakes. The event will also feature
paper-making workshops, bookbinding demonstrations, and a vibrant art
market showcasing the talents of local artisans.

Write253 is proud to present Tacoma Wayzgoose with support from King’s
Books and local printers Jessica Spring, Taylor Cox, Yoshi Nakagawa, and
Yuka Pets. For 17 years, Tacoma Wayzgoose has embodied the spirit of
creativity and collaboration, offering a platform for artists and art
enthusiasts to come together and celebrate the power of expression.
