Cohort Dates:
Welcome and Orientation: September 3 | 5:30-8PM
Multi-day Weekend Training: September 11-13

Join the Tacoma-Pierce County Climate Leadership Cohort for a three day
training where you will hear from panelists about important topics such as
local ecosystems, city and county 101, climate change activities, food
justice, sustainable transportation, built environment, and civic
engagement. Experts from each of these fields will be joining us to share
their knowledge, answer cohort member’s questions, and provide further
informational resources.

The training is designed to provide participants with numerous
opportunities to build community and connect with each other, share their
concerns and goals, and directly engage in conversation with speakers from
the City of Tacoma and all over Pierce County.

After the training, participants develop a CAPstone project based on the
climate issue that they care most about with the goal of supporting their
communities with healthier and more climate resilient neighborhoods.

Project development is supported with one-on-one mentorship and are present
ed at graduation in December. Participants who complete the entire program
receive a $595 stipend.
