Musica Alta Ripa? Hanover!! Hohes Ufer = High Riverbank, or Alta Ripa in
Latin. With more than 30 recordings to their credit, Hanover's Musica
Alta Ripa
has garnered many of the most important awards in Europe for
recordings including the Diapason Dòr, the Cannes Classical Award, the
German Recording Critics' Prize, and several times the coveted Echo
Klassik Award.

Harpsichordist and conductor Bernward Lohr directs Musica Alta Ripa, and
baroque violinist Anne Röhrig leads the Hannoversche Hofkapelle (the
"Hanover Court Orchestra"), another of Europe's premier baroque
orchestras. They are both professors at music conservatories in both
Hanover as well as in Nuremburg, Germany. Both were awarded the 2002
Music Award of Lower Saxony.

Join us in celebrating the Hanover baroque music scene on Monday at 7:00
PM at St. Luke's Memorial Episcopal Church in Tacoma when Bernward and
Anne join baroque flutist Jeffrey Cohan in exploring exquisite
18th-century French, Italian and German trio sonatas and solos by
composers Johann Sebastian Bach, Archangelo Corelli, Andre Chéron,
Louis-Antoine Dornel, Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Christian Bach and
Domenico Scarlatti.
