Just wanted to forward this to the group.....   Wonderful person, Jesica has created something quite amazaing.    “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” One of the things that came out of my Artists Way was becoming a producer (now Creative Director) for a new performance group called One Table Show. We stage mini-plays (which take place around a single table) around Tacoma at various bars and restaurants. Our performances are always free and they are notable for the diversity of performers we work with, in terms of race, gender, ethnicity, and all the things including experience levels. In fact,  one of my favorite things about our shows is bringing together people with all different levels of expertise and having them learn from us and each other. So we work with a lot of people who've never performed before, and also people who want to primarily direct or develop stories. We're holding a free workshop on  Saturday (September 19) that is part improv class and part scene incubator (our last workshop even resulted in a scene we performed at a later show). I would so greatly appreciate it if you could pass on our info/flyer to any aspiring performers or writers you can think of -- or just send them my way.
