We are excited to share our fall programming lineup for 2021! We welcome the return of our arts & lit magazine Disclaimer for its second issue. We are also bringing back The Writer's Shelf, a ten-week workshop series for teens. And we are super stoked to partner with Tacoma Public Library for three workshops this fall.

DISCLAIMER MAGAZINE IS BACK!!! (and we need editors)

Disclaimer  is assembling an editorial board for the second issue, due to be released in early 2022. We are looking for editorial board members ages 15-19 in the Pierce Co. region. We will meet weekly on Wednesdays beginning Sept. 22 and will host meetings on Zoom. To apply to become an editorial board member, please go to http://www.write253.com/disclaimer

THE WRITER'S SHELF WORKSHOP SERIES

Starting Tuesday, October 5th, we will be hosting writing workshops for writers ages 13-19 for free on Zoom. Each week will delve into a different aspect of writing. Open to all kinds of writers and all skill levels. For more information and to sign up, head over to http://www.write253.com/writers-shelf

THREE AWESOME WORKSHOPS WITH TACOMA PUBLIC LIBRARY!

Our first workshop will take place September 22 featuring Asha Berkes. "Sestina Self Portrait - The goal of the workshop will be to discuss the importance of strong word choice and repetition, as well as how the restrictions of form can promote creativity." If you love sestinas or you are terrified of them (or ahve no idea what they even are) -- this is the workshop for you!
