I would like to address the replacement of the cable to form a recommendation to the people in control of the finances. So I think that answers to following is a good place to start:
Where does the ring terminate now?
Are the current sites of termination appropriate?
Where should the ring run?
With the answers to these three questions, we can begin to formulate a estimate of cost for the bean counters.

My preference is to keep the meeting on the first Thursday of each month, so suggest waiting to meet until 3/5.

Good Morning All-
Now you can't say you haven't heard from me. :)
I really want to thank everyone for your support in my campaign efforts in running for the presidency of the group. However that happened, I look forward to serving.
Here's what's on my radar, if there are other topics that need to be addressed please speak up:
1.) We know that the state of the physical fiber is poor and replacement is inevitable. How that will be done is unknown.
2.) I don't know the path of the fiber, I would like to see a map.
3.) Once we have a map, a determination of appropriate site location should be done. Things have changed in 20 years.
4.) A good working cost number should be obtained to start a budget conversation.
5.) I need a starting list of people with budget authority to engage so that the funding mechanisms can be discussed.
Once we have this information, we can start a project development and get the ball rolling.
I'm looking at 2/18, 2/20 or 2/27 for possible meeting dates.
Comments please.
Thanks,
Jim Frey

FYI, I was in touch with Jim Frey several weeks ago to make sure he was on board with being the president and all. I also tried to contact him earlier this week to see if and where the Feb meeting would be. But I haven't heard back from him.
Jim has the list address, so hopefully we will hear from him soon...
Thanks,
Ken
