*Hi! The Music and Art in Wright Park Festival is seeking artists and craftspeople that appeal to the aesthetic of the indie art and craft scene and have innovative approaches to traditional craft forms, to participate in this year’s festival on August 10th, 2013. As in past years, the festival will include music, art vendors, and activities for all ages, food, and more. We are looking for vendors, or artist groups, who create unique handmade arts and crafts such as handbags, pottery, letterpress stationary, paintings, silk-screened t-shirts, zines, posters, body products and sculptures, as well as vendors who sell vintage goods such as books, clothing and records. Applications will be accepted to July 31st. The booth fee is $50 (plus $10 if the vendor does not have a City of Tacoma business license and needs to be covered under the festival's blanket license), but smaller artist can share a booth to lessen the burden of the cost. This is something that I would love to emphasize, as for many artists, paying for the fee alone would make selling at the festival cost prohibitive.
