MORE information on the April 17 Art+Science Salon:

Presenter Saya Woolfalk is being commissioned to create new work for the Seattle Art Museum's exhibition Disguise: Masks and Global African Art, http://www.seattleartmuseum.org/pressRoom/PDF/2014-2015%20Exhibition%20Calendar.pdf opening in June 2015. Her visit is supported by grants from the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation and a curatorial award administered by the Association of Art Museum Curators.

The next Art+Science Salon at Tacoma Art Museum will be Thursday, April 17, 6-8 p.m.

New York artist Saya Woolfalk, who worked with anthropologists to create a record of a fictional ethnic group, will be presenting.  She writes that the culture of this imagined people allow us to immerse ourselves in the logic of a very different place.
