FINAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE APPROACHING FOR THE FIRST EVER DESTINY CITY FILM
FESTIVAL AND SCREENPLAY COMPETITION
April 25, 2014
TACOMA, WA – After months of accepting indie films and short screenplays,
our FINAL DEADLINE is just days away! Submit your work before 11:59pm PST
on April 30th to be considered for the FIRST EVER Destiny City Film
Festival and Screenplay Competition! All Pierce County residents that
submit a film will automatically receive two (2) ticket vouchers for the
festival! Plus, film submissions are free to Pierce County residents!
This NEW four-day fest is organized by people who believe at the heart of
every great movie is a great story, one that is destined to invigorate an
audience through the art form of film. We’ve got some exciting things in
the works – including an all-star jury (names to be announced this summer),
a not-to-be-missed storytelling workshop with one of the smartest and most
talented writers and teachers we know (more information coming soon),
parties, post-film Q&As, and a storytelling event including a reading for
the winner of this year’s short screenplay competition.
Audiences deserve to see great movies, and our filmmakers and writers
deserve to be held to a higher standard. The experienced and devoted DCFF
staff is thrilled to be the middleman. Our mission is to enhance the
vitality of independent filmmaking by showcasing vibrant films to curate an
engaged and supportive community audience.
