Jean Tudor lives in Edgewood, Washington, having returned to her native Tacoma area after residing
on the West Coast, the East Coast, the Midwest, and Colombia, Latin America. She is married to
William E. Tudor, a retired Episcopal priest. A graduate of the University of Puget Sound in history
and literature, her enameling education took place at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina,
her BFA in metals at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, and a lot of learning in her studio.
Jean is a member of the Northwest Designer/Craftsman, is past president of The Enamelist Society
and has served as a board member and an advisor to that group. She is an instructor in enameling
and has been a trustee for The Grünewald Guild, an art/faith center near Leavenworth, WA.
Teaching has taken her to various places in the U.S.A., Canada, England, and Venezuela and she
currently teaches a summer workshop at The Grünewald Guild. Her work has been included in
exhibitions in the USA, Mexico, Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Chile and Spain. She is
represented by The Art House (Olympia, WA).
