CITY OF TACOMA - NOTICE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
The City of Tacoma has determined the following property to be surplus to the needs of the City:
The Former Sector Four Police Substation located at 3524 McKinley Avenue.
This sale does not impact the operations of the current Sector Four Police Substation located at Stewart Heights at 400 E. 56th Street.
In March 2013, the City will begin the process of selling the property by a "Request for Proposal" process (RFP). The intent of this process is to conduct a sale which will improve and enhance the McKinley Hill area and the Eastside Neighborhood as a whole. To that end, the RFP process will take into account the future uses of the property with respect to the Neighborhood and the City's goals, as well as the monetary consideration offered.
City staff has been conducting outreach with the Eastside Neighborhood Advisory Council and the Dome Top Neighborhood Alliance regarding the upcoming sale and sale process.
