*SATURDAY, AUGUST 17^TH 2013:Sketchers will meet at 10am on the plaza
just outside the museum gift shop. We'll sketch around the outdoor area
of the museum until 12:30 and then meet again to share our sketchbooks.
*If you pay the fee to go inside the museum you may sketch inside the
museum hot shop--however, we're not sure about the feasibility of
sketching in other places inside the Museum. Ask permission.) There are
a multitude of places to sketch outdoors.

Museum of Glass, Tacoma.1801 Dock Street Tacoma, Washington 98402 - 3217

We'll meet rain or shine. (If it's a rainy day (real rain--not a
sprinkle or two), meet as above and we'll revise our location to a
nearby spot.)

All levels of sketching ability are welcomed! Bring whatever sketching
materials you enjoy--remember sun protection. A folding stool or chair
can be handy...although in this sketch-out location there are a lot of
places to sit down without gear.

There is parking at the museum for a FEE.  At the parking garage
across from Freighthouse Square
there is a FREE parking (check wall
signage for the 'unlimited time' spots). Between the parking garage and
the Freighthouse Square is the stop for the  FREE light rail that goes
right down town. Get off at the Union Station stop and walk over the
bridge behind Union Station to the Museum of glass.

Some of us bring our lunches and sometimes stay longer to sketch some
more, but if you like to 'do lunch' after sketching, there is a
restaurant in the museum, and also quite a few up on Pacific Ave.

There are two interesting places for art supplies nearby: the UW
Bookstore (1754 Pacific--open Sat. 9-5) and Tinkertopia(1914
Pacific-open Sat.10-6)
