Historic Tacoma invites you to a community event celebrating our cherished
buildings.
HISTORIC TACOMA'S POSTCARD
PROJECT
MAY 15TH, 2014
7-9 pm
323 Puyallup Avenue at 'D' Street (The original
Reliance Lumber Company building)
Bring one or more 4 X 6" postcards, handcrafted by you of a favorite or
most unfavorite Tacoma building.
Affix a postcard stamp - 34 cents. Leave room on the back for an address
label.
These art postcards can be photos, drawings, digital images, watercolor,
collages or any original artwork. Identify your building and/or add some
text.
Upon entry each guest will fill in their name and address onto a label: the same number
of labels as the cards they brought.
After a two hour display of the cards pinned to the walls, the Historic
Tacoma board will randomly apply the labels to the accumulated cards and mail
them to the attending guests. (YOU will receive a card or cards in the
mail depending on how many you brought). If you bring multiples of the same postcard image, we will only display one. . .
Entry guaranteed if you bring a postcard, finger food and/or beverage to share. Learn more about
Tacoma's advocate for important and historic architecture: HISTORIC
TACOMA, and thanks to our hosts: Rick Semple and Jori Adkins.
