The Peninsula Art League hosts its latest free art demo: Value Sketching in
Ink and Markers, 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 22, at Gig Harbor United
Methodist Church, 7400 Pioneer Way. Social hour and refreshments begin at
5:30 p.m.
The free demonstration will be presented by artist Darrell Anderson, author
of "A Guide for Rapidly Turning
the Visual World into Artistic Ideas." Copies will be available for $25, a
$5 savings for attendees.
Anderson will show how to find one's 'voice' as an artist, and see how using
valued markers almost forces one to think artistically in large shapes and
values.
"The tools are inexpensive and simple to use, yet produce quickly
recognizable images and source material for future paintings."
Make sketching in ink and markers a highlight of your Spring and Summer
trips and vacations!
"With a minimum effort you can get a lot of result." says Anderson.
