Das Biest Performance Project will be hosting our third annual Yuletide Fundraiser at the Tacoma Armory on November 22nd. This event is will include tarot readings, zine making and a silent auction showcasing some wonderful local artists. Das Biest Performance Project is an entirely queer and disabled staffed dance company. Founded in 2018 by Sophie Marie, Das Biest Performance Project is a dance-based art group. All of our staff and dancers are Queer Identified and/or disabled artists. We seek to create space for marginalized artists a place to create the Strange and Weird. Our work focuses on themes of folklore, queerness and horror. We have made several, self-produced dance films that have been seen through the Annual Barefoot Collective Film Festival. We have also performed at the Seattle Center’s Artist at the Center and self-produced many site-specific dance works. We are located in Tacoma, WA.
