AUDITIONS ANNOUNCED FOR PENMET SUMMER 

        THEATRICAL PRODUCTION

         

        Join the elite group of actors participating in a 40 year tradition of live theater under the stars in Gig Harbor!

        PenMet (Peninsula Metropolitan Park District) announces auditions to recruit actors for its Summer theatrical production directed by Kathleen McGilliard.  This year two large cast musical plays are under consideration for production out of doors, under the stars in PenMet's beautiful outdoor amphitheater.  "Aladdin" or "Aesop's  Musical Foibles"  will offer great roles for men and women including adults, young adults and children. 

        The auditions will be held in the Pavilion at Sehemel Homestead Park located at 10123 78th Ave. NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98332.  All auditions are by appointment the weekend of Friday April 25th, Saturday April 26th or Sunday April 27th.  Call 253-358-3595 to schedule a 10 minute appointment. These forms should answer most questions.  

        Audition forms will be available at the auditions, but please give yourself time to fill it out prior to your appointment.   Prepare a song that shows off your range and volume.  Be prepared to sing acapella or with your own instrumental only accompaniment CD.  Provide a photograph of yourself for identification purposes.  The director will provide material for cold readings.  Call Backs if needed will be held on Friday May 2nd.  First rehearsal will be  Saturday May 10th.

        Rehearsals will begin in May for nine production dates on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings July 11th through July 27th.  PenMet Family Theater is a community theater and as such all performers participate as volunteers.
