South Sound Scooters & Spaceworks Tacoma are at it again! This time, teaming up to bring you a new artist showcase that celebrates both the Tacoma creative scene and the joy of the ride. Together, we’ve commissioned talented local artists to create one-of-a-kind diecast Lambretta art pieces, which will be auctioned online to support Spaceworks’ programs for arts and entrepreneurship in and around our vibrant city. Ashley Laufer, pictured first, blends the mystical, the macabre, and the cosmic. Her piece "Fly By" is inspired by the carnivorous pitcher plant Nepenthes – "She's vibrant, vivacious, and on the hunt for some clandestine insects. Hop on and cruise around the city in style with some hot new foliage." Mary Mann reimagines her scooter as having an existential crisis and decides to party instead.
