What: – All are invited to gain first access to the 20th Annual IN THE SPIRIT Contemporary Native Arts Exhibitionhttps://www.washingtonhistory.org/exhibit/in-the-spirit-2025/ at the Washington State History Museum. Tour the exhibition, enjoy light refreshments and an awards ceremony with contributing artists.
The awards categories include Best in Show, Spirit of the Northwest, Honoring Innovation, Honoring the Ancestors, and the Purchase Prize.
This year’s jury was organized by s’gʷi gʷi ʔ altxʷ: House of Welcomehttps://www.evergreen.edu/houseofwelcome at The Evergreen State College, a founding partner of IN THE SPIRIT. Guests will have the opportunity to cast a vote for the People’s Choice Award in the exhibition until the afternoon of August 9.
