FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: September 11, 2024
___________

The City of Auburn and the Auburn Arts Commission are pleased to present the work of Penny FireHorse at the Cheryl Sallee Gallery, on view September 11 - November 6, 2024.

"I create art using acrylics and acrylic enamel on surfaces like glass, ceramic, porcelain, and canvas. In 2017, I expanded into digital art with an iPad Pro and later explored Acrylic Pouring on Canvas.
My work, often compared to Van Gogh for its vibrant colors and rich textures, is a reflection of my connection to universal energy. Each piece embodies love and happiness, emerging from a deep, soulful place.
Art became my refuge from childhood trauma, allowing me to express my true self. It's now my sanctuary, where I channel peace and capture the universe's inspirations. Bold colors and textures symbolize the journey from darkness to light, radiating love, unity, and positive energy.
Inspired by other artists, vivid colors, and emotional expression, I strive to create art that heals and brings hope. My art is a spiritual expression, reflecting my path toward self-worth and oneness with life."
