Author and urban designer Darrin Nordahl will join Downtown On the Go at UW Tacoma for a discussion on his book Making Transit Fun! How to Entice Motorists From Their Cars (and onto their feet, a bike, or bus). The Friday Forum eventhttps://www.facebook.com/events/933687350050474/ is free and open to the public on Feb. 26, 2016 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.

Nordahl is known for the "Fun Factor", a term he created to talk about customer-first transit, and shares ideas from around the world on the bus "Extreme Makeover" and the reasons we choose to take transit. He'll bring ideas and we'll discuss how subtle changes can entice more people to walk, bike, or ride transit over driving alone.

People who have not read the book are encouraged to come for the discussion, but the book is available onlinehttp://www.downtownonthego.com/about/dotg-book-club-making-transit-fun or at Downtown On the Gomailto:info@downtownonthego.org.
