Beyond the Bin is back and bigger than ever!

Brought to you by City of Tacoma's Solid Waste Management team, Beyond the Binhttps://tacoma.gov/government/departments/environmental-services/solid-waste/beyond-the-bin/ is a series of free community reuse events where Tacoma residents can donate gently used household goods instead of throwing them away. Items are collected and redistributed or repurposed by community partners, helping keep usable materials out of the landfill.

The series is significantly expanding in 2026, offering 26 weekly opportunities for residents to donate reusable items from April through September. Events are held every Friday from April 3 through September 25 at the Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or until the collection truck is full.

For more information including a full list of accepted items, partner details, and an event calendar, please visit us at tacoma.gov/beyondthebinhttps://tacoma.gov/government/departments/environmental-services/solid-waste/beyond-the-bin/ or view the attached Event Guide.
